Emerald City Canyon
Located in Sucre, approximately 7 kilometers before reaching Ciudad Quesada, the La Vieja River Canyon, known as Emerald City, is a geological wonder of Costa Rica. This canyon has walls that exceed 80 meters in height in some sections, adorned with lush vegetation and multiple waterfalls that create a spectacular landscape.

The route through the canyon is relatively short but technical, with a V5 classification due to the water flow, which can vary from moderate to very strong. It is recommended to do this activity with experienced guides.
Barroso River Waterfall
Located in Marseille, within the Juan Castro Blanco National Park, the Barroso River Waterfall is an impressive waterfall approximately 140 meters high. Access to the waterfall involves a challenging hike through the dense jungle, which can take around 6 hours from the nearest starting point.

Located at 1,100 meters above sea level, next to a volcanic lagoon, the station offers a 7-kilometer trail through the rainforest, passing through volcanic soils with fumaroles and the impressive Pocosol Waterfall, which falls more than 50 meters into a river canyon.

The reserve, which covers 22,000 hectares of protected forest, is the largest privately owned in Costa Rica and is administered by the Monteverde Conservation League.
