Por amor a Chepe

The Art City Tour (ACT) returns to San José with a new edition entitled “Por amor a Chepe” (For the love of Chepe), scheduled for February 13th. This free event, which takes place four times a year, invites the public to discover and enjoy the urban art and culture of the Costa Rican capital.

A journey through the culture of San José

This edition will offer a circuit with 10 participating venues, where attendees can enjoy exhibitions, guided tours, talks and selections of some of the most famous operas. The activities will be divided into two circuits:

  • Rediscover San José Route (organized by the Costa Rican Tourism Board).
  • INS Group Route, ideal for traveling individually or in a group.

Access is completely free, but prior registration is required. The registration link was activated at midday on Sunday, February 9th, with a total of 3,000 places available while stocks last.

Outstanding spaces and activities

The event will include the participation of various cultural institutions, including:

  • Jade Museum: will screen the documentary short film The Eye and the Light, directed by Jurgen Ureña, and will offer the photographic exhibition The Ancient Treasures of Bulgaria, together with guided tours of the exhibition For the Festival.
  • National Theatre: will open its doors with guided tours every twenty minutes, providing historical information and interesting facts about this iconic heritage building.
  • Other participating venues include the Central Bank Museums, the Alliance Française, Tienda eÑe, Alotico, the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, the San José Cultural Center, the Spanish Cultural Center and the Costa Rican North American Cultural Center.

It is an experience where the ‘gift’ is found in the cultural offerings that await us in each participating venue. These are proposals that contribute to broadening our worldview and invite us to imagine better opportunities for San José, our capital city.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) and the INS Group, alliances that have made it possible to continue offering this face-to-face experience so eagerly awaited by the public.
