The National Reading Fest 2024 is preparing to open its doors this Friday, July 26 at the Antigua Aduana, a cultural event that promises to be an unparalleled celebration of literature. This event will take place until Sunday, July 28 and is intended for all reading enthusiasts, from children to adults.

Opening and Activities.

The inauguration of the National Reading Fest will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, with the Minister of Culture, Jorge Rodríguez, and members of the organizing committee. The invitation is open to the general public, promising a vibrant start to a weekend full of literary activities.

During the three-day event, attendees will be able to explore a wide range of reading-related activities. From book presentations and poetry readings to lectures and writing workshops, the Fiesta will offer an enriching experience for all literary tastes. Visitors will be able to purchase books from local authors, publishers and bookstores such as Editorial La Jirafa, Yo Encino Editions and Uruk Publishers.

Featured Participants.

The authors invited include notable names such as Dayana Benavides Briceño, Mario Porras Madrigal and Nitzy Rodríguez Vargas. Also, the event will have the participation of important associations and publishers, including the Association of Writers and Publishers of Pérez Zeledón and Libros Viajeros, among others.
