National Reading Fest 2023: An “Not to be Missed” Literary Encounter in Costa Rica
San José, October 18, 2023 – Reading is a key to infinite worlds of knowledge, imagination and emotion. And to celebrate this wonderful act, Costa Rica is preparing to receive the second edition of the National Reading Festival 2023 (FNL 2023), an event that has become a literary reference both nationally and regionally. From October 26 to 29, the Antigua Aduana in San José will be filled with letters, authors, publishers, and reading lovers in a space that promotes literary diversity and the enjoyment of the written word.
Literary Diversity in One Place.
FNL 2023, organized by the Center for Artistic and Cultural Production of the Ministry of Culture and Youth, is proud to offer a varied and exciting program ranging from publishing houses to libraries, literary collectives and educational projects. The event has 89 participating proposals, all committed to the promotion of reading and writing. In the words of Rafael Ávalos, producer of the National Book Fair 2023, “the National Reading Festival is consolidating itself as a meeting place for the literary sector and its audiences. Beyond the commercial objective of a fair, which is very important, the Festival hopes to also fulfill objectives of stimulating reading and writing, in the context of a festive and stimulating environment.”
