Transitarte Festival 2023 is back
Transitarte Festival returns to the streets of San José after three years of not being held due to the pandemic.
For those who don’t know, Transitarte is a festival held every year with the aim of experiencing culture, art and music outdoors and public access. It is organized by the Municipality of San José and has become one of the most important festivals in the capital.
Throughout the parks and boulevards of the northwest sector of San José, there will be concerts, art, crafts and food stands and hundreds of artistic activities for everyone to enjoy from Thursday, March 16 through Sunday, March 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
What makes this edition of Transitarte XVI so special? The mayor of San José, Jhonny Araya, mentions that:
[…] this XVI edition of the Transitarte Summer Festival is held within the framework of the bicentennial of San José’s capital status and the designation of our city as Ibero-American Capital of Cultures 2023, by the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities […].”
This weekend is therefore a celebration of art, culture and music, the most important pillars of human life. Can you imagine going through the pandemic without any books, films, music, drawing or painting? Existence definitely needs all these things.
Art and culture are part of every day, let’s celebrate them this weekend in San José!
